Cav. Andrea Cornaro (F-56) was a Cavaliere [knight] of the orders of the Iron Crown and of the Legion of Honor. On 21 May 1841 he sold Ca' Cornaro della Ca' Granda, the family palace on the Grand Canal in San Maurizio Parish, to the occupying Austrian government for Lire 96,000, ending 300 years of Cornaro family ownership.
