Profiles of the Glassmakers: Maestrai Vitrai Muranesi Cappellin e C. (1925-1932) Founding: Following disagreements with Paolo Venini, Giacomo Cappellin withdrew (1925) from Vetri Soffiati Muranesi Cappellin, Venini & C., together with Vittorio Zecchin, the firm's Artistic Director. They founded Maestrai Vitrai Muranesi Cappellin e C. and were joined there by most of the glassblowers of the prior firm, including Diego Barovier, Attilio Moratto, Malvino ("Nino") Pavanello and Giovanni ("Nane Patare") Seguso. Developmental Events: 1926 Vittorio Zecchin left the firm. Carlo Scarpa succeeded him as the firm's Artistic Director, perhaps on a free-lance basis. 1932 The firm closed its business.
