Profiles of the Glassmakers:

Vetreria Ferro-Lazzarini

Founding:
Vetreria Ferro-Lazzarini was founded by Mario Ferro and Giovanni Lazzarini, but accounts differ as to the time and circumstances of the event. One account dates the founding to 1928, while another states that it occurred in 1947 in connection with reorganization of a predecessor firm, Ferro Eugenio & C. Vetreria Ferro-Lazzarini focused initially on traditional blown glass.

Developmental Events:

1953

Ezio Rizzetto joined the firm as Artistic Director. The firm began an association with Centro Studio Pittori nell' Arte del Vetro (also known as Fucina degli Angeli), executing designs by Alexander Calder, LeCorbusier, Oskar Kokoschka and Aldo Bergamini, among others.

Later Ownership passed to Elio and Sergio Ferro and Robledo and Giovanni Lazzarrini.
