Villa Cornaro (later Farsetti, Benvenuti)

Via Cappuccini, Sopra il Monte dei Cappuccini (Padua)

VILLA CORNARO at Sopra il Monte dei Cappuccini, together with its garden gateway and a theater, were erected by the celebrated Alvise Cornaro (B-26), c. 1550, to a design created by his famous protege Giovanni Maria Falconetto.

Unfortunately, the villa was reconstructed in the 1700s to a design by Farsetti, and the theater was reconstructed in 1848 to a design by Giuseppe Japelli. Of the original design, only the Falconetto gateway remains.
